Southern California McDonald’s® Announces Community Partnership and Local Talent Line-Up For Taste of Soul Family Festival

Jackie Gouche Southern California McDonald’s is bringing hope, inspiration and fellowship to the 10th Annual Taste of Soul Family Festival by presenting the Brenda Marsh-Mitchell Gospel Stage. In addition to the McDonald’s® Inspiration Celebration® Gospel Tour, local gospel talent from Los Angeles and the Inland Empire will be hitting the stage to kick off the day. STARQUEST: BE THE NEXT STAR!!!

StarQuest Auditions are set to kickoff at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza on the Macy’s Bridge Saturday, Sept. 26, from 10am-6pm and Sunday, Sept. 27, from 1pm-5pm. The local contest turns four this year and continues to be a hub of talent for the South L.A. area. Finalists who make it past the initial auditions go on to perform on the TOS StarQuest Stage and perform for TOS Nation, which stands now over 350,000 people.

Taste of Soul Scholarship recipients

Taste of Soul Scholarships are awarded for outstanding community service in the areas of education, healthcare, domestic violence prevention or sustainability. Bakewell Media’s Taste of Soul has given thirteen $500 scholarships to youth who applied earlier this year.  The following is a list of this year’s winners: Michael Allen graduated from St. Francis High School and will be attending Morehouse College in the Fall of 2015. Orleans and York deli hoping to participate in Taste of Soul

Orleans and York is all about bringing Southern California the best of the best food from both New Orleans and New York.
