Success on the Way: Update – Transgender LGBT Rights

Some weeks back I wrote to you regarding transgender (LGBT) rights in U.S. public schools. The way that came about was that President Obama administration issued a directive on transgender rights to public schools from the U.S. Departments of Education and Justice.

We hear this aphorism frequently, “Just Do It!” directing us to propel ourselves away from procrastination, ; putting off ‘til tomorrow what you can do today. If you’re looking back, you can’t see forward and may not get anything done at all. Our society is high tech; no time to put off. Push yourself forward! Be accountable.

Inspire yourself! “BE” your own Best Friend!” You have support all the time. He said, “I will be what I want to be.” In other words, “He will be what you need Him to be.” Your needs are met! Who or what is your most threatening enemy many of the times? Our own thoughts may be what is hindering us from achieving our goals. Let’s set a watch over our thoughts and words.

Don’t underestimate yourself. You’re more powerful than you think! You can do it! You make choices daily. Some effect your whole life. Be encouraged! Move forward! You may not be able to change the past, but you can improve. Consider circumstances and possible results the decision. The same temptation may come clothed differently.

“Spanking???” Is somebody going to call the police on me? Will my own child call the police? (I hope not!). Here’s the thing. Children need consistency; what to do and what not to do. Stick to your rules. Wishy-Washy is a no-no and your results will be undesirable. Children are very smart, perceiving how to undo what you have been working so hard to do.

Many of us grew up without full time or part time fathers or no father at all or knowledge of our fathers. Many factors contribute to “father absence.” What is “father absence.” It could mean physical or emotional absence. Children generally children know something important is missing. Could be, father absence is never discussed. The subject is avoided.

Resolving Conflict In Our Lives

When we look all around there is conflict everywhere we go. There’s conflict on the highways, in the streets, in the grocery store, at the service station, in the home, in the church, at the office, nationally, locally, internationally, and in campaigns. There’s almost no where you can go where there is no conflict.
