Dorsey Defeats Rival Crenshaw, Wins Coliseum League Title

The Crenshaw vs Dorsey game was more than a rivalry grudge match this season. It was a battle for the Coliseum League crown, as both teams came into the matchup with an undefeated league record. After four quarters of solid competition, Dorsey secured league and rivalry dominance with a 44-35 win.

L.A. Chargers Fall to Kansas City Chiefs, 38-28 in Season Opener

Hayes Pullard’s 4th Annual Youth Football Camp

Hayes Pullard III, linebacker for the Los Angeles Chargers, hosted his 4th annual youth football camp at the Jackie Robinson Stadium at Dorsey High School in his hometown of Los Angeles on Saturday, July 14, 2018. More than 10 current NFL players including: Adoree Jackson (Titans), Antwaun Woods (Titans), Bene Benwikere (Cardinals), Paul Richardson (Redskins), Shaq Richardson (Raiders), Keith Smith (Raiders), Randall Telfer (Chiefs), TJ McDonald (Dolphins), Marqise Lee (Jaguars), and Xavier Grimble (Steelers) were in attendance.

Jazz Series Honors Gil Scott-Heron and Brian Jackson

Parkside EDC will present an evening of the music of Gil Scott-Heron and Brian Jackson on June 27 as part of its Jazz Cool Down series in Leimert Park. The series, held at LA Third Church, benefits college scholarships for students from Dorsey and Crenshaw High Schools and features LA jazz luminaries such as Barbara Morrison, Ernie Watts and Roy Gaines.
