Westminster Presbyterian features Felton and Hayes in concert

Dr. Cynthia J. Felton and Perry V. Hayes headline a concert on Sunday, April 17, at 3 p.m., at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2230 West Jefferson Boulevard in Los Angeles.

The program, entitled “From the House of the Lord We Bless You,” is sponsored by the Women’s Association of Westminster. The Rev. Carlton A. Rhoden is the senior pastor.

Felton is a renowned jazz vocalist, musician and educator. She has released several well-received CDs including “Afro Blue,” “Save Your Love for Me” and “Come Sunday.”


A graduate of Berklee College of Music, she also received a Master of Arts degree in jazz performance from New York University and a Doctorate degree in jazz studies from University of Southern California.

Hayes serves as music director, pianist/organist and choral director at Park Hills Community Church and as music director/conductor for The United Male Chorus of Los Angeles. Also a member of the Spirit Chorale of Los Angeles, he was awarded a commendation by the City of Los Angeles for his musical contributions to the area.
