Student Athlete of the Week: Jermar Jefferson

Snoop Youth Football League Alum, Jermar Jefferson, presented a competitive rushing game for the Oregon State Beavers last season. His efforts at the running back position earned him Pac-12 Freshmen Offensive Player of the Year and an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention.

The Rams and Nike Host High School Football Tournament

High school football teams throughout the Southland united at El Camino College to clash in the 11-ON Passing Tournament and Lineman Competition, hosted by the Rams and Nike. The event allowed the prep athletes exposure and extra practice but also allowed them to commune with other teams. Former NFL star and L.A. Rams Community Affairs and Engagement Specialist Johnathan Franklin facilitated the competitions and shared his wisdom with the athletes. Narbonne Ousted Crenshaw in Division 1 City Section Title

The Crenshaw Cougars (9-5) could not surpass the Narbonne Gauchos (12-2) in the Division I city section title bout. The gauchos beat the cougars 57-21. Although Crenshaw had moments of sound defense, the Narbonne offense completed key passes that led to touchdowns. Crenshaw came into the game outnumbered; their 37-member squad went up against Narbonne’s 81 members, according to Max Preps. The gauchos were the first to score a touchdown early in the 1st quarter.
