“I was on my way out of high school. I was working on a show that was about to end. I pretty much been working through my high school years, and I was trying to figure out what I was going to go to college for,” he says of his decision. “I had a bunch of like a bunch of ideas and lots of things I was interested in; I just kept coming back to some form of entertainment.”

Congress Passes Historic Anti-Lynching Legislation

Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) called lynchings racially-motivated acts of violence and terror that represent a dark and despicable chapter of our nation’s history. 
“They were acts against people who should have received justice but did not. With this bill, we can change that by explicitly criminalizing lynching under federal law,” noted Harris, who suspended her presidential campaign late last year. 

LADWP Commitment to Fostering Gender Equity Honored by Society of Women Engineers

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) was honored with two Society of Women Engineers (SWE) “WE Local” awards this month at the WE Local San Diego conference in San Diego, Calif. The Department received the Sustaining Benefactor award, while its LADWP-SWE chapter was selected for the Outstanding Professional Development Event award.
