In this time isolation Williamson has been watching The Last Dance on ESPN. What he finds most interesting watching Michael Jordan’s documentary is the type of leader he was. “The one thing he said that stands out is he plays like somebody is watching for the first time and doesn’t want to disappoint. You never get a second chance for a first impression. For him to play with that mindset throughout his career says a lot about him.” 

WNBA Hosts Virtual Draft

The WNBA practiced social distancing by hosting the first virtual Draft on Friday, April 17 on ESPN. One of the few athletic events that was not impacted by the COVID-19, the Draft was mainly broadcasted from the houses of league commissioner Cathy Engelbert and the Draftees.

Sparks Re-Sign All-WNBA Guard Chelsea Gray

The Los Angeles Sparks are excited to announce the re-signing of point guard Chelsea Gray. In 2019, Gray averaged 14.5 points and career-highs of 5.9 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game. She was named to the 2019 All-WNBA First Team and earned her third consecutive All-Star selection.
