We have experienced another humbling Resurrection Holy Day Celebration of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the only resurrected savior. How can we also resurrect our minds, overcome imprisoning thoughts, expand our thoughts, expand our minds’ broaden our horizon outlook and improve our lives? Here are focus words: oversight (look over things), insight, preview your thoughts before activating them through speech and actions), overview, introspection (shut your mouth, look inside your mind, retrospection (look back..not repeating same mistakes, intuition (consider what may happen as you sort out the pieces). There are times you may know what is going to happen before it happens evidenced by what you have seen happen under similar circumstances in the past. Improving our lives does not always mean financial improvement. Put first things first and others things will follow.

Sweeping our minds of imprisoning thoughts of jealousy, wanting what other people have (covetousness) and not realizing what others may have experienced and overcome in order to accomplish what they have accomplished. Recently, the voice came to me that said, “The focus is on discipline.” Control our thoughts, our bodies and actions! Discipline, discipline! Some people want easy, effortless solutions with no work and big dividends. That’s a short term solution; to do more without doing anything to change the present circumstances is fanciful imagination. But, to change present circumstances, run a mental film of our lives. Be quiet to listen to your thoughts, that little voice. Some people won’t read instructions? If they read, they think they can understand everything in a flash. It takes time. Quickie solutions. “O’ I listen to my heart (desperately wicked).” Lol. Choose. Read the instructions. Follow the guidelines or run rogue, go off, miss the mark, rather than patience; oftentimes spending more money, wastes money and time. Some people get new jobs, new positions, which may entail exploring new information, learning, new strategies and learning to teach others their jobs and expand their experiences, taking leadership positions over thousands of people. Most people want to expand their horizons, exercise gifts and talents. Think about it. What hinders us? Jealousy … getting things done super fast…coveting others stuff.

Nowadays, so many people are looking to be in the limelight and make a big splash. What if that doesn’t happen? There are alternatives. The best idea is seek peace in your spirit wherever you are in life. Seek inner peace and capture a clearer perspective of what is going on in you (introspection) and in your world. Raise your family. Family is critical. Fathers and mothers love your children.

Be patient with them. Think healthy thoughts, not destructive or revengeful thoughts. You’ll end up being the one destroyed. That’s the law of sowing and reaping.
