View Park defeated Huntington Park 3-2 to win the division III City Section Championship (Mesiyah McGinnis/L.A. Sentinel).

The ICEF View Park Prep High School softball team has been invited to participate in a preseason invitational softball tournament in Kapolei, Hawaii. This is an outstanding opportunity for the girls to face some really stiff competition in preparation of the beginning of their third season.

The invitational will be from February 19-25. The Knights won back-to-back CIF City Section Championships in their first two seasons.

“The girls have worked hard both on and off the field,” reports head coach, Leesa Harris. “The team GPA of 3.44 speaks for itself. This is certain to be a life changing experience for these young athletes , most of who m have never traveled outside South Los Angeles. ”

In order to make this trip possible, the team is in need of last minute monetary donations to assist with meals/healthy snacks, ground transportation , educational excursions.
