During his sophomore year, Tamir Washington and his friend tried out for the boy’s rugby team at View Park high school on a whim.
View Park alum Nia Toliver will be competing in the Tokyo Olympics with Team USA women’s rugby.
View Park high school recently became the National Winner of the Aspen Institute’s Reimagining School Sports in America Initiative, earning a $20,000 grant meant to help them pursue their athletic endeavors.
The Pan African Film Festival is the epicenter of Black cinematic storytelling every February. One of the films profiled was “Another Red, White, Black & Blue Odyssey,” a documentary on the ICEF View Park Rugby program.
The invitational will be from February 19-25. The Knights won back-to-back CIF City Section Championships in their first two seasons.
