December 5, 1945 – In journalist and historian Amina Hassan book “Loren Miller: Civil Rights Attorney and Journalist,” she describes the life of civil rights attorney Loren Miller. December 6, 1975 – Congresswoman Mia Love was born in Brooklyn, New York. She represents Utah’s 4th Congressional District and is the first Black Republican woman and the first Haitian-American elected to the United States Congress.
