Saturday, October 20, marked 13 years of the largest street festival in Southern California and the Taste of Soul (TOS) nation still hasn’t come down from the festival high!
Since its inception, Children’s World has been a part of the Taste of Soul, now thirteen years strong as the Los Angeles’ largest family oriented street festival. Of course there can be no family event without something for the children and TOS officials aim to make this part better every year. This year, participants included Disney’s new “Nutcracker” movie reps, with a photo booth for the kids, chesstutors.com and Vision to Learn, offering free eye exams.

All performers brought their A-games but only two (one child and one adult) could emerge victorious.
The lineup included hip-hop legend Kurtis Blow, R&B diva Chanté Moore, R&B legend Ginuwine, King of New Jack Swing Teddy Riley featuring Blackstreet and Soul songstress Melanie Fiona.
The festivities begin before Taste of Soul with live performances, vendors, interviews and a gala celebration to boot!
