Local Ministries Plan Good Friday and Resurrection Day Services

Several churches and organizations in the Los Angeles area will hold Good Friday and Easter Sunday worship services to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. L.A. Churches Host Christmas, New Year’s Eve Services

Local churches and ministries throughout the Southland will host several activities to observe Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. People’s Independent Church of Christ will sponsor three events during the holiday season. All activities will take place on the church’s campus at 5856 West Blvd., in Los Angeles. Lee Wesley Gibson, Oldest Living Pullman Porter, Passes At 106

Lee Wesley Gibson, who had the distinguished honor of being the oldest living Pullman Porter in the United States according to the National A. Phillip Randolph Museum in Chicago, passed away on Saturday, June 25, at 106 years of age. He died peacefully at home with his family by his side.
