Basketball requires unity under the hoop and along the sidelines. International basketball player, Pooh Jeter, understands the need to win as a whole team, which includes the person holding the clipboard.  Resurrecting the energy of diversity within coaching, Jeter is seeking more support for Black coaches by reenergizing the Black Coach Association (BCA). 

Jeter spoke exclusively with the Los Angeles Sentinel, providing the play-by-play as he dissected the reasons athletes need to see their likeness in their coaches and the demand for the collective community to look out for each other.

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has voted unanimously to direct county coroner Dr. Jonathan Lucas to conduct inquests into the 2020 deputy shooting deaths of 47-year-old Dana “Malik” Young Jr., 41-year-old Samuel Herrera Jr. and 29-year-old Dijon Kizzee.

The two-hour Tuesday “America’s Got Talent” episode was the most-watched prime-time program between Aug. 23 and Sunday, averaging 6.809 million viewers, while the hourlong Wednesday episode was third, averaging 5.79 million. An “America’s Got Talent” episode has been the most-watched prime-time program seven times in the 11 weeks it has aired this summer.
