      On Monday, June 5, the Los Angeles Lakers and representatives of bibigo® foods hosted their inaugural ‘Lakers Town’ community event in Koreatown. The event featured a new Lakers mural by artist, Jonas Never, and appearances by Los Angeles Lakers legends, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, James Worthy, A.C. Green, and Robert Horry at the unveiling of a mural that celebrates some of the dynamic duos in Lakers history. Bright Star Schools, a network of nine high-performing, tuition-free charter public schools across three communities in Los Angeles — West Adams/Baldwin Village, Koreatown, and the San Fernando Valley — announced that it is currently enrolling 5th grade students for Stella Middle Charter Academy in Baldwin Village on a first-come, first-served basis.   Approximately 60 spots for 5th grade are available and families are encouraged to apply quickly to secure a seat. L.A. Council President Emeritus Herb Wesson To Hold Free Diaper Grab-and-Go Saturday

Los Angeles City Council President Emeritus Herb J. Wesson Jr. and Good Plus Foundation will host a diaper grab-and-go for 10th Council District residents on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at his district office in Koreatown. Diapers will be given to families in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. Priority will be given to families in the 10th Council District but no families are excluded from applying. Limited quantities and sizes available. All families must sign-up online at herbwesson.com/diapers. No walk-ups will be permitted.
