76ers suspend Simmons 1 game for conduct detrimental to team

Ben Simmons has been suspended by the Philadelphia 76ers for one game due to what they called conduct detrimental to the team. Simmons will miss the 76ers’ season opener Wednesday night at New Orleans.“I just thought he was a distraction today,” coach Doc Rivers said Tuesday after practice. “I didn’t think he wanted to do what everybody else was doing. It was early. It wasn’t a big deal. I just told him he should leave. We went on with practice.”

All-Star Health and Safety Update

Prior to traveling to Atlanta, Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons had contact with an individual who is confirmed today to have tested positive for the coronavirus.  As a result, Embiid (Team Durant) and Simmons (Team LeBron) will not play in tonight’s NBA All-Star Game.

LeBron James to Participate in 2019 All-Star Game Draft

Lakers’ star LeBron James will participate in the 2019 NBA All-Star Game Draft on Thursday, at 4 p.m. PT that will be televised live on TNT during the “NBA All-Star Draft Show.”

James remains arguably the greatest active player in the NBA, so it came as no surprise that he led the Western Conference in becoming the West’s’ All-Star captain for the 2019 NBA All-Star Game.
