Student Athlete of the Week: Jalen Coleman

Jalen Coleman recently graduated from Wiseburn-Da Vinci high school and will attend Temple in the fall to study sports management. His athletics, academics, and community outreach efforts would earn him the 2023 Build a Better Future Scholarship and the Footlocker Scholar Athlete Scholarship.

Sparks Lose to High-Scoring Liberty 87-79

The Los Angeles Sparks fell to the New York Liberty 87-79. New York sank 15 three-point shots, 10 more than the Sparks, and led by as much as 27 points in the matchup. Their effort on the offensive end held Los Angeles to 25 rebounds while they made 42.

Mattel Hosts Youth Clinic With L.A. Sparks, Chargers

The Los Angeles Sparks and Chargers collaborated with Mattel and Girls Inc. to host a Play It Forward Youth clinic. Sparks guards Jordin Canada and Zia Cooke along with Jr. Sparks coach San Dixon took the youth of Girls Inc. through unique dribbling and running drills.

On Wednesday July 5th, the LA Sparks played the Atlanta Dream at Crypto.com Arena. With dedication to supporting the community, the Sparks hosted Hometown Heroes Night, recognizing the community’s most honorable active-duty military, army, veterans and first responders that are the backbone of our city.
