Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital recently announced the launch of the Know Your Basics Community Wellness Campaign on Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The six-month campaign will provide health screenings and enrollment events at 23 grocery stores, barber shops and beauty salons, farmers’ markets, shopping centers and senior centers throughout the South Los Angeles community. The venues will provide health education, screenings and referral resources to educate the community about their health and assist residents with enrollment in health coverage programs.
