 After a decade of being the dermatology expert to many of Hollywood’s elite including Academy Award-nominated actress Angela Bassett, Emmy Award-winning actress Niecy Nash, and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, Doctor of Medical Science and Health Science, Landon McCarroll who is also a Physician Associate (PA), is turning his attention towards helping the youth and underserved populations in the inner city by providing free medical care through his DermKing Humanity Foundation.

Pioneering Actress Ellen Holly Dies at 92

  America’s first Black soap opera star was also an acclaimed Broadway and film actress Trailblazing American actress Ellen Holly, the first Black person to star in a soap opera, has died. The White Plains resident, who helped change the face of daytime television with her lead role on “One Life to Live,” passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the age of 92 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, New York. Hundreds gathered for the 2023 WinterFest at Hollywood Park in Inglewood on Saturday, Dec. 2. The free annual holiday celebration included a farmers’ market, activations from future Hollywood Park retail tenants and other local businesses, food vendors, holiday reef decorating activities, live entertainment from the Inglewood High School Marching Band, photos with Black Santa, and Baron Davis’ annual Celebrity Basketball Game.
