“Junior White Coat Ceremony” for Charles R. Drew University’s Saturday Science Academy Students Confers Coats, Certificates and MD Badges upon K – 12 Students in STEM Program
The Science Saturday Academy at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science (CDU) will “graduate” 159 Los Angeles-area K – 12 students at its 18th annual “Junior White Coat Ceremony,” the traditional ritual that signals the transition of medical students to medical practitioners and at which they receive their white lab coat.
WHO: 159 K – 12 students graduating from CDU’s Saturday Science Academy.
WHAT: “Junior White Coat Ceremony,” at which grads receive physician badges, white coats and certificates for their study of STEM subjects.
WHEN: Saturday, January 20, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
WHERE: Gymnasium at King/Drew Magnet High School of Medicine and Science at 1601 E. 120th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90059.
