Pastor Kelvin T. Calloway and the congregation of Bethel A.M.E. Church will celebrate their 94th anniversary of ministry and service in South Los Angeles.
The celebration service is set for Sunday, October 11, at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. Bobby Cox, Jr., pastor of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Mobile, Alabama, will be the guest preacher. The theme is “Our Help Comes from the Lord” based on Psalm 94:16-19.
“We encourage everyone in the greater Los Angeles area to join us in marking this momentous occasion as we recognize Bethel’s rich history of active participation and diligent response to the needs of the South Los Angeles community,” said Pastor Calloway.
Immediately following the worship, members and guests are invited to enjoy free games and food on the church parking lot, added Brother Demiko Fitzgerald, Anniversary Chair.
