The City of Compton announced the launch of its citizenserve online portal that allows residents and business owners to submit a variety of applications online. Now, business licenses, building and safety permits and code enforcement complaints can be submitted online. Residents and others can learn what is needed for a permit, submittal requirements, apply online, view review status, pay permit fees and schedule inspections all from their home, office or mobile device.
“More and more residents are going online to pay bills and shop and City Hall must keep up,” said Compton Mayor Aja Brown.
“By creating an online one-stop-shop for business licenses and building permits we eliminate the need for trips to City Hall, allowing business owners to focus on their businesses and customers. The City Council is focused on making Compton more business friendly and this is definitely a step in the right direction.”
“Through this new secure portal the City of Compton will save time, money and resources,” said City Manager Roger Haley.
“Moving all business permits and business licenses online is an an effort to continue to advance the quality of customer service to the public and cut down on staff time spent handling paperwork to improve efficiencies.”
