“Diversity, Inclusion on the Move, One Floor at a Time”

The Southern California Chapter of The National Association of  Minority Contractors (NAMC-SC) is hosting its 19th Annual Leadership Awards Dinner on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the Marina Del Rey Marriott Hotel.

NAMC-SC looks forward to this year’s event as an opportunity to continue collaborating with local government agencies and other large corporations as well as our members in recognizing construction excellence in Southern California. We will be celebrating some of the most outstanding minority contractors, corporate partners, and government officials who have made impactful contributions to the betterment of minority contractors and have provided contracting opportunities to NAMC-SC’s trade association members.

NAMC-SC 2018 honorees are:

  • State Legislator of the Year- Senator Steven Bradford, 35th District
  • County Legislator of the Year- Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, LA County, 2nd District
  • City Legislator of the Year- James Butts, Mayor of Inglewood
  • Minority Contractor of the Year- Tim Coffey, CEO, TEC Constructors & Engineers

“Diversity, Inclusion on the Move, One Floor at a Time” is the dynamic theme of the 2018 awards dinner.  This year one of the dinner highlights, will be a Fireside Chat instead of a Keynote address.

The distinguished participants confirmed to date include: Michael Owh, Chief Procurement Officer, City of Los Angeles as Moderator. He will be joined by Simeon Terry, V.P., Diversity Affairs, Austin Commercial and Cathy Orquiola, V.P., District Manager, PCL Construction Services
