On Tuesday, September 4, the Golden Bridge Choir, known for singing songs built on the ancient tradition of community building through music, will present a one-of-a kind concert of healing and joy. The “Joyful Benefit Event” will be held in Hollywood and will raise funds to support The Center at Blessed Sacrament, a secular non-profit homeless services agency whose mission is to end isolation and homelessness by connecting people to housing, health and behavioral health, and community. The concert will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 6657 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles and will include meditation, supper and a reception following the event. Tickets are $25.
The Golden Bridge Community Choir is a non-auditioned inter-generational choir and member of the Ubuntu Choirs Network, which seek to create a world where people listen deeply to those around them, celebrate diversity, trust in their voices and use their voice to build harmony, justice and peace. This ancient concept, expressed in the Zulu word ubuntu, is at the root of many of the world’s wisdom traditions. For more information and advance tickets, visit www.thecenterinhollywood.org
