Local and well-known artists will perform at the “Smooth Jazz on 25th & Magnolia” on Saturday, June 24, at 3 p.m.
The event, sponsored by the Artishia Wilkerson Jordan Women’s Missionary Society of Ward AME Church, will be held at the church’s campus located at 1177 W. 25th St., in Los Angeles. The Rev. John E. Cager III is the host pastor and Roslyn Jones is the WMS president.
The lineup features Jacob Lusk of “American Idol,” Chosen Recovery Group Singers, Underwater Traffic, and Fernando Pullum’s Performing Arts Center. Charles Lemle will serve as emcee.
The donation is $25 and includes food and refreshments. Also, several vendors offering a variety of items will participate.
According to Jones, “This event will help our Women’s Missionary Society ministry in continuing to provide much-needed assistance to the homeless, women’s and children’s shelters, refugees, the least, left out marginalized, and forgotten.”
