The Fourth of July recently passed where America celebrated 242 years of independence. I have always been proud to be an American, but recently with many of the decisions made by this current administration, it gets more and more challenging.
Juneteenth is celebrated across the country, but is recognized more in Southern states. Families celebrate the “holiday” in many ways, including family reunions, cookouts, fireworks and parades.
Father’s Day brings up mixed emotions for me and I oftentimes don’t know if I want to laugh or cry when I think of my father. He was bigger than life and when he walked into a room he commanded your attention.
Easter is the time of year when many think of Spring, new clothes, chocolate and bunnies.
