MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Attorneys for an Alabama woman indicted for manslaughter after she lost her fetus when she was shot filed a motion Monday to dismiss the charges, calling them “completely unreasonable and unjust.” The district attorney’s office has not yet decided whether to prosecute.

Three people were wounded in a drive- by shooting in South Los Angeles. Police responded to a shooting in the 600 block of East Caliburn Place at 2 a.m. on July 14 and found three gunshot victims, according to Lt. R. Garvin with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southeast Division. The three victims were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening wounds, Garvin said. The shooting is believed to be gang-related, he said. No description of the suspect was available.
Authorities today identified a woman who was shot and killed in South Los Angeles. Police responding to a shots fired call around 10 p.m. Monday in the 4000 block of Dalton Avenue found the wounded woman, said Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations office. Donniesha Gregory, 32, of Los Angeles died at the scene, according to the coroner’s office. No arrests were reported, and no description was available of the suspect or suspects.
