CME SoCal Region Holds 33rd Annual Conference

The Christian Methodist Episcopal Church recently held its 33rd Southern California Annual Conference at Phillips Temple C.M.E. Church in Los Angeles. The theme was “The Investment Factor: Expressing God’s Love through Missions and Outreach!” Bishop Bobby R. Best, presiding prelate of the Ninth Episcopal District, requested Bishop Teresa Jefferson-Snorton, presiding prelate of the Fifth Episcopal District, to oversee the proceedings in his absence. Other leaders included the Rev. Travis A. Morris, host presiding elder of the Los Angeles-San Diego District; the Rev. Mark A. Hardin, presiding elder of the Los Angeles District; and the Rev. Bernard M. Jackson, host pastor.

Lewis Metropolitan CME hosts L.A. District Conference

The 2016 Los Angeles District Conference of the Southern California Region of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church will convene on Friday, February 5 through Saturday, February 6, at Lewis Metropolitan C.M.E. Church, 4900 S. Western Avenue in Los Angeles. The Rev. Mark A. Hardin, Los Angeles District presiding elder will preside. The Rev. Willie B. E. Boyd, Jr., of Lewis Metropolitan C.M.E. Church the Host Pastor is the host pastor. The conference begins on February 5, at 7 p.m., with an Opening Service of Worship processional led by President Shirley Levingston and the Los Angeles District Women’s Missionary Society followed
