The 2016 Los Angeles District Conference of the Southern California Region of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church will convene on Friday, February 5 through Saturday, February 6, at Lewis Metropolitan C.M.E. Church, 4900 S. Western Avenue in Los Angeles.
The Rev. Mark A. Hardin, Los Angeles District presiding elder will preside. The Rev. Willie B. E. Boyd, Jr., of Lewis Metropolitan C.M.E. Church the Host Pastor is the host pastor.
The conference begins on February 5, at 7 p.m., with an Opening Service of Worship processional led by President Shirley Levingston and the Los Angeles District Women’s Missionary Society followed by Presiding Elder Hardin, pastors and conference officers.
Pastor Charles A. Cole of Brown C.M.E. Church in Santa Ana will deliver the Service of Holy Communion Message. Bishop Bobby R. Best, presiding prelate of the Ninth Episcopal District of the C.M.E. Church, will conduct the Service of Holy Communion. The Southern California Region Mass Choir, directed by Danette Armstead, will render the music.
The business session starts on February 6, at 9 a.m. Also, an appreciation luncheon, honoring Presiding Elder and First Lady Hardin will be held.
