EmpowHer Institute Hosts Annual Girls to Greatness Teen Summit

On Friday, April 28, the EmpowHer Institute hosted over 500 girls from 13 schools at their annual Girls to Greatness Teen Summit at the Los Angeles Convention Center. This year’s theme, Leaders Today. Changemakers Tomorrow., was a declaration of power encouraging the girls to step into their purpose with confidence and commitment.

NeighborhoodLIFT Program to Offer $25,000 Grants to Boost Homeownership for Angelenos

At a news conference, Wells Fargo, NeighborWorks® America and its network member, Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles County will announce the expansion of a multi-million dollar collaboration to boost homeownership. The NeighborhoodLIFT® program will offer $25,000 down payment assistance grants and homebuyer education for eligible Los Angeles County homebuyers. The free NeighborhoodLIFT homebuyer event takes place Feb. 1-2 at Los Angeles Convention Center, and interested homebuyers can register to attend beginning January 14 at www.wellsfargo.com/lift. 

23rd Annual L.A. Art Show

Now-Jan. 14 The L.A. Art Show will return to the Los Angeles Convention Center on January 10 – 14. The fair will host even more international exhibitors than last year, with over 100 galleries from more than 18 countries with an emphasis on the Pacific Rim, including China and Japan, as well as France, the United Kingdom and Mexico. For the 2018 edition, the L.A. Art Show Show will continue the on-site programming debuted last year in partnership with SoCal art institutions such as LACMA, The Autry Museum of the American West, the Museum of Latin American Art and more.
