Robert Woods, Rebuilding Together and Lowe’s Come Together for 27thAnnual Kickoff to Rebuild 

On February 11th, Lowe’s Home Team Player and Los Angeles Rams wide receiver, Robert Woods, joined Rebuilding Together Of The City of Angels and Lowe’s, the Official Home Improvement Sponsor of the NFL, to provide essential repairs for 16 homes in Los Angeles neighborhoods including View Park as part of Kickoff to Rebuild. 

Toxicologist testifies that drugs did not kill George Floyd

A toxicologist testified Wednesday at the federal trial of three former officers charged with violating George Floyd’s civil rights that it wasn’t drug use, heart disease nor an agitated state known as “excited delirium” that caused Floyd’s death after officers pinned him to the pavement in May 2020.

Herb Wesson Appointed Councilmember for 10th District

 The community’s ardent request for a voting representative for Council District 10 has been addressed by Los Angeles City Council President Nury Martinez, who introduced a motion to appoint former Councilmember Herb J. Wesson, Jr. to represent Los Angeles’ 10th Council District. 

Trial in Kobe Bryant Crash Scene Photos Lawsuit Delayed Until July

Citing a backlog of criminal cases and coronavirus concerns, a federal judge has postponed the trial on a lawsuit brought by Kobe Bryant’s widow against Los Angeles County involving photos taken at the scene of the helicopter crash that took the lives of the NBA legend, the couple’s 13-year-old daughter and seven others.
