Eric Aguilar has been named chief of staff for the Brotherhood Crusade, announced Charisse Bremond Weaver, president/CEO.   He brings to the position more than 15 years of experience in youth advocacy, public administration, and community engagement.

Prior to this appointment, Aguilar served as the southeast deputy for L.A. Councilwoman Heather Hutt where he developed and maintained mutually beneficial relationships with residents, community organizations, business leaders, and governmental officials.

He gained further expertise working in the Mayor’s Office of Public Safety overseeing multimillion dollar contracts, ensuring city compliance with the agreements, and implementing programming for youth from ages 10 to 24.  In addition, Aguilar held substantive positions with Northrop Grumman and California State University of Los Angeles.

Aguilar earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in public administration. Committed to responding to community needs and aiding youth development, he said, “I am guided by the belief that solutions must be inclusive and collaboratively developed to have a lasting impact on the community we serve.”
