The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Toronto Raptors 98-88, in an anticipated nationally televised game that had many fans across the spectrum ready to see how points Kawhi Leonard would put up against his former team and the defending NBA champions.
The following statement has been issued by the NBA regarding the LA Clippers and the playing status of forward Kawhi Leonard:
The Los Angeles Clippers were defeated by the Milwaukee Bucks 129 – 124, in a hard fought battle that came down to the last few minutes of play to the surprise of many with Kawhi Leonard inactive.
Leonard recorded 38 points, snatched 12 rebounds and led the Los Angeles Clippers in a triumphant 103-97 victory over the San Antonio Spurs, handing them their first loss of the season at Staples Center on Thursday night.
On Tuesday, the LA Clippers defeated the Lakers 112-102. Kawhi Leonard made 30 points and four Clippers bench members scored in the double digits. Lakers forward Danny Green rallied for the Lakers with 28 points.

The Los Angeles Clippers used their depth and defense to earn a statement 112-102 win over the Los Angeles Lakers during their seasoning opener on Tuesday. The Clippers poured in 60 points, each active reserve scoring in the double digits. The Clippers also pushed the pace, scoring 22 fast break points to the Lakers’ five.
The Los Angeles Clippers held an open practice Tuesday, and the fans came out in large numbers to support the rebranded Clippers team. With the new nucleus that is apart of this team now, it is only true fans come out to the open practice and see for themselves the new wave that is approaching. After a tenacious season, the Los Angeles Clippers now look like the team to beat with the additions of reigning NBA champ Kawhi Leonard and All-Star forward Paul George. The Clippers also boosted their roster by adding veterans with years of playoff experience.
Leonard partnered with the L.A. Clippers foundation and nonprofit organization Baby2Baby to donate one million backpacks to all the students of the Los Angeles, Inglewood and Moreno Valley Unified school districts.
The Los Angeles Clippers revealed last Thursday, renderings of the team’s sports and entertainment arena in Inglewood, planned to open in 2024, when their current lease at Staples Center ends. The Inglewood Basketball & Entertainment Center will include an 18,500-seat world-class arena along with a sports medicine clinic, community courts, park spaces, educational facilities, restaurants and shops. The proposed site will be located on West Century Boulevard between South Prairie Avenue and South Yukon Avenue, and will also be home to the team’s business and basketball offices, training facility, community and retail spaces.
