Mavericks Even The Series 1-1 With A Convincing Win Over the Clippers

The Dallas Mavericks evened the series at one apiece after defeating the Los Angeles Clippers 124-117 on Wednesday. “Just give Dallas credit, they played hard tonight,” said Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard, who finished with a game-high of 35 points and 10 rebounds. “They’re the reason why we didn’t come back.” The Mavericks jumped out in game two to the same lopsided start they had fallen victim to in the first game of the series against the No. 2 seeded Clippers.

Marcus Morris Shines in Game 1 for the Clippers

“This is playoff basketball,” stated Leonard. He said the Mavericks are tough teams, have a great culture, and won’t stop fighting. “You see leads like this all the time. This is what it’s all about,” says the former NBA Finals MVP. He was happy the Clippers were able to win despite the challenges they faced as a team. “Still enjoying this journey. We got a lot to build from. We’re going to look at the film and see how we can improve,” says Leonard.
