The Serra JV baseball team ended their season on a high note by securing a 7-4 victory over the St. Paul Swordsman. Early scores and late strikeouts would help the Cavaliers win.

Legends Compete With Fervor in Loss to Utah

The Los Angeles Legends women’s tackle football team fell short 8-26 against the Utah Falconz in their home opener at Serra High School.  The Legends kept their competitive energy high throughout the matchup.

Rams, Chargers Host League of Champions Super Bowl

To conclude their second season, the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers hosted the L.A. Girls Flag Football League of Champions Super Bowl. Days after the event, the CIF Southern Section approved of a proposal to make girls football a CIF-sanctioned sport as soon as this coming Fall.

Student Athlete of the Week: Jayda Hamilton

During the quarantine last year, several student athletes were looking for ways to train and stay in shape. Jayda Hamilton, a recent graduate from Serra High School, was willing to put in the work to battle the competitive Southern Section to compete for a state championship. Her father purchased a conglomeration of equipment to help Hamilton train.

Serra Boys Basketball is Dedicated to Competing

The team has a 11-10 overall record and a 3-5 Del Ray League record. The Del Ray league houses several contending programs, including St. Bernard, a team that is ranked at 39th place in California. Serra junior point guard Jeremy Dent-Smith noted how playing a league game is like competing in the playoffs.
