The 19th Annual HUF Awards take place in a virtual presentation on Sunday, June 20, at 1 p.m. One of the longest running Father’s Day events in Los Angeles, Judge Mablean Ephriam and the Mablean Ephriam Foundation have celebrated fathers during the annual award ceremony. Television personality and philanthropist, Judge Mablean, and the Mablean Ephriam Foundation created as her name sake, presents its 17th Annual HUF Award, Honoring Unsung Fathers Awards and Scholarship Brunch. The 17th Annual Unsung Fathers Awards will be held on Father’s Day, June 16th at the beautiful Long Beach Hilton Hotel. Brunch and Program is from 1pm to 4pm with Red Carpet beginning at 12 noon . The black-tie affair honored African American, trailblazing men and women whose personal and professional accomplishments have positively impacted the perception and image of the Black LGBTQ+ community. The Truth Awards embodies the belief that members of the Black LGBTQ+ community and its allies who embrace and live their truth should be recognized and honored. In addition, BBLA awarded $13,000 in scholarships to college-bound students Julian Roberson, Algernon Jackson, and Moses Hinton.
