The Black Lightning Track Club continues to display how diligent practice and teamwork leads to success in the most competitive events. The 4x100m and 4x400m relays at the USATF National Junior Olympics proved to be their strength as the 11-12 squad dominated the two events.
The Black Lightning Track Club has been excelling on the biggest stages of track and field. This past summer, runners from the club took top spots in sprints and relays during the Junior Olympics.
Jasmine Wilson, an eight-year-old sprinter and former Student Athlete of the Week, is pacing the 8U circuit in the AAU. Over the summer, she won three gold medals in the AAU West Coast Junior Olympics and two gold medals in the AAU Junior Olympics in Florida.
On the biggest stages, sprinter Jasmine Wilson knows how to outrun her opponents. At six years old, she is one of the fastest runners in her age bracket.
