His battle with Bipolar Paranoid Schizophrenia led him to homelessness and the Criminal Justice System, showing the lack of institutional resources put in place for people living with mental illness. 

Chargers Promote G Spencer Drango to Active Roster

The Los Angeles Chargers promoted G Spencer Drango to the active roster, the organization announced on Monday. In a corresponding move, LS Matt Overton was waived. Drango was added to the Chargers practice squad from the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 18, 2018. He played in 32 games and made 19 starts in two seasons for the Browns. USC Shows Heart In Upset Win Over Utah

After a disappointing overtime loss the previous week, the (3-1) USC Trojans bounced back defeating PAC-12 opponent (3-1) #10 Utah Utes, 30-23. Reggie Bush was in attendance as a Fox Sports analyst for the first time at the Coliseum since the NCAA hit USC with sanctions tied to the former Heisman winner.

Chargers Squander First Half Lead; Fall to Texans 27-20 At Home

The Los Angeles Chargers were clinging onto a 10-point first half lead, clicking on all cylinders on both sides of the ball, but were ultimately unable to sustain it, allowing the Houston Texans to come from behind and steal a 27-20 victory, Sunday afternoon at Dignity Health Sports Park.

Student Athlete of the Week: Myles Bryant

University of Washington Huskies senior defensive back Myles Bryant is a former CIF Southern Section standout who is seeing success during his college career. Although the Huskies are having a slow start to their season, Bryant has racked up nine solo tackles and 1.0 tackle for loss in two games. His defensive efforts aided Washington to a 10-4 record, a Pac 12 title and a trip to the 2019 Rose Bowl game.

WFLA Hosts First Combine

The Women’s Football League Association (WFLA) is on track to become the first women’s football league to have both an Eastern and Western conference. The WFLA plans to launch on August 2020 with 32 teams and the funding to pay their players.

Gonzalez enters hall with 3 DBs who tried covering him

At one end of the room sat Tony Gonzalez. All the way across it was Ed Reed. Sometimes in the past, that’s as close to each other as the two new Hall of Famers cared to be. Same thing for Champ Bailey and Ty Law when it came to covering Gonzalez, the game-changing tight end and matchup nightmare for defensive backs. They’re all part of the class of 2019 that will be inducted Saturday night. On Friday, they spoke about each other _ and the honor of entering the pro football shrine together.
