Los Angeles Mayor, Eric Garcetti has taken the initiative to provide the current statistics surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. As of Tuesday, April 14. Mayor Garcetti disclosed statistical evidence of L.A. efforts to flatten the curve; it is showing promise with daily coronavirus increase in single digits. The Los Angeles City Mayor addressed pressing matters such as relaxing the Stay at Home order. Mayor Eric and his office has studied data locally and internationally, the evidence reflects that L.A. should remain under quarantine. The L.A. elected official explained the decisions to remain under strict physical distancing guidelines as we maneuver through many waves of the coronavirus increase.

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — Low-income residents of Los Angeles and those with incomes negatively impacted by the coronavirus pandemicwill soon have another opportunity for financial relief through the city’s Angeleno Fund. Starting Tuesday, those who meet the requirements can begin applying for the Angeleno Card program which will provide debit cards with $700-$1,500 for residents with incomes below the poverty line prior to the Safer at Home orders and those who have fallen into “deeper” hardship” due to reduced work hours or have had their incomes cut by at least 50%. People can apply for the debit cards online or by calling 21-252-3040 starting

It was a great day to have hope in Los Angeles as Councilman Curren Price, Mayor Eric Garcetti and Supervisor Hilda Solis celebrated the completion of the first Bridge Home in District 9. Coining the term, “Bringing Hope to Hope Street,” many gathered on March 5, to support the new temporary housing unit located on 2817 S. Hope Street. This specific location will now be the twelfth to open in LA as part of the city’s homeless shelter program. The new shelter will house 100 homeless men and women from the community and help them transition into permanent supportive housing.
