Philanthropist and author Cookie Johnson shared excerpts from her memoir, “Believing in Magic,” at the prayer breakfast sponsored by Holman United Methodist Church on April 14. The theme was “Reset: Prayer, Power, Purpose.”
The program featured food by G’s Catering, entertainment by Jubilant Voices, Greg Walker, KJLH Radio Free Voices and Lura Daniels-Ball and video presentations by AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Ethiopian Airlines and the Black Cooperative Investment Fund.
Also, Holman members Lillian Farrah, Theodore King and Lisa Nicholas participated and Aundrae Russell, KJLH-FM broadcaster, served as emcee.
