Mothers In Action’s Beer Garden Features Fun and Laughter

The 18th annual Taste of Soul took over Crenshaw Boulevard this past Saturday, October 21st. Hundreds of thousands of people walked, danced, ate, and mingled their way from Stocker Street to Obama Boulevard. There were many attractions and plenty of food vendors to indulge in, leaving people full, happy, and excited for the day’s festivities.

Richard Roundtree, Star of “Shaft,” Dies at 81

Richard Roundtree, the actor known and loved for his iconic portrayal of the first Black action hero, John Shaft, died on Tuesday at his Los Angeles home surrounded by his family. His longtime manager, Patrick McMinn, confirmed his death and said the cause was pancreatic cancer, a diagnosis Roundtree received two months ago. He was 81.
