The Dozier Singers Family and Friends (DSF) will hold their first Christmas show of the season, “Give Love on Christmas Day,” on Saturday, December 5, at 4:30 p.m., at Zion Hill Baptist Church, 7860 10th Ave., in Los Angeles.
While DSF will be the featured attraction, the popular L.A. dance troupe, Glad II Dancers, with choreographer Aisha Thompson and gospel rapper Karen McMultry of Greater Liberty Baptist Church will perform. Also, vocalist Donnie Faye Robinson of New Greater Victory C.O.G.I.C. will appear. Nationally recognized radio personality, Pres’ Blackmon, will host the show.
In addition to popular Christmas songs, DSF will perform several original compositions including a Christmas song written for the Dozier Singers titled, “The Greatest Gift.”
Jerry Dozier, former lead guitar player for the Temptations is the musical director for the group and Gardena resident Larry Dozier is the lead vocalist. Dozier, affiliated with the Cornerstone Theater Group, won a Garland Award for his singing and acting performances with the group at the Mark Taper Forum.
