The Dozier Singers Family and Friends (DSF) will hold their second annual Fathers’ Day Concert and Dinner on Sunday, June 19, at 5 p.m. at the Chester Washington Golf Course, 1818 Charlie Sifford Drive (120th St. at Western Avenue) in Los Angeles. The theme is “Dance with my Father Again.” In addition to dinner, the event will include music, theater and poetry. The Dozier Singers Family and Friends (DSF) will hold their first Christmas show of the season, “Give Love on Christmas Day,” on Saturday, December 5, at 4:30 p.m., at Zion Hill Baptist Church, 7860 10th Ave., in Los Angeles. While DSF will be the featured attraction, the popular L.A. dance troupe, Glad II Dancers, with choreographer Aisha Thompson and gospel rapper Karen McMultry of Greater Liberty Baptist Church will perform. Author and theologian Dr. Osmond A. Lindo Sr., will be honored as ‘Man of the Year’ during the Fathers’ Day Dinner and Concert on Sunday, June 21, at 4 p.m., at Hollypark United Methodist Church, 13000 South Van Ness Avenue in Gardena. Dr. Lindo, author of the recently published book, ‘Real Men Read Jesus’ Parables’ will receive the award from the United Methodist Men of the Western Jurisdiction.
