On May 18, the office of Councilwoman Heather Hutt (Council District 10) and the Los Angeles Department of Recreation & Parks united to unveil the Gregory Horn Splash Pad at Jim Gilliam Recreation Center.

 According to CD 10 staff, “Horn was a dedicated member of the community, who epitomized the spirit of service and dedication for its residents. His unwavering commitment to empowering youth in South Los Angeles was not only admirable but instrumental in shaping a brighter future for generations to come.”

. During the event, children and families played at the first nearby Splash Pad to ever be built in this area. The event was free and open to the public, and food was provided by The Fix on Wheels, Hot Dog on a Stik, and Kool Kids Snow Cones.
