Experience a celebration of community, movement, and creativity at this year’s Wellness Weekend presented by Invertigo Dance Theatre’s community program, Dancing with Parkinson’s, in partnership with Crenshaw Yoga and Dance.

Wellness Weekend 2024 will be held on Friday, May 17, and Saturday, May 18, at Crenshaw Yoga and Dance, located at 426 Crenshaw Blvd., in Los Angeles.

As Invertigo Dance Theatre’s longest-standing community initiative, Dancing with Parkinson’s embodies the theatre’s commitment to fostering community, forging connections, and driving social change in Los Angeles. Through the transformative power of dance, the program has provided seniors and those living with Parkinson’s disease a supportive environment to explore movement, build connections, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Wellness Weekend’s goal is to be a safe space for everyone of all ages with or without Parkinson’s to discover self-expression and unleash their creativity.  This free two-day event will offer a diverse range of activities including dance, yoga, tai chi, and discussions led by health professionals on the importance of health and exercise.

It’s an opportunity for those on the journey of aging to discover the numerous health benefits of movement and to learn about the local resources available to support their well-being.
