In bestowing the award on Merriwether, NAMC-SoCal cited, in part, her years-long work in establishing the Los Angeles Regional Contractor Development and Bonding Program (CDABP), which assists small, local, and diverse contractors in obtaining infrastructure construction work with the City of Los Angeles, LA Metro, and the County of Los Angeles.

For more information on the CDABP, which is offered at no cost to contractors and is administered by MWIS, interested contractors can visit www.LAConDev.com.
