On Saturday, October 21st, the annual Taste of Soul Festival will take over Crenshaw Boulevard yet again with a day full of fun, food, family, music, and much more. The free festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Crenshaw Boulevard, from Obama Boulevard to Stocker Street, with an anticipated attendance in the hundreds of thousands.  

Attendees will be able to indulge themselves with various food vendors, live music, Black-owned businesses and products, health testing and resources, just to name a few.  The sponsors featured in Children’s World include Lucas Museum, First 5 California and Santa Monica College. Children’s World will make its return to this year’s TOS and will offer lots of fun activities for kids. 

Children’s World gives young people the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of thousands of people. Young attendees are able to witness youth their own age pursuing their dreams in entertainment, serving as motivation to strive for excellence.

Aside from performances, this popular stage will also include Wave DJ Truck, a video game truck, ROYAL DIVAZZZZ SPA (a kid’s mobile spa service), henna designs, caricature artist, carnival booth games, face painters, a basketball hoop game, and a baseball toss game.  

In addition, 102.3 KJLH and Taste of Soul are joining forces again to bring live music from some fan favorites. The KJLH stage will have live sets from Canton Jones, KJLH Choir, Sean2 Miles, DW3, Dante Bose, Major, October London, Mike Phillips, and political speeches with Adai Lamar.  

Not to mention, DJ Mark will be in attendance keeping the audience entertained with his music mixes. Tammi Mac, Christian Keyes, Kevin Nash, BoBo, Aundre Russell, Lon McQ, and more will also participate and bring the energy to the stage, just as they do on-air.
