With a “Summer of Adventure” in mind, Metrolink is introducing a new weekday ticket option, the $15 Summer Pass, in addition to a $10 Holiday Pass.

“We want everyone to enjoy all the great destinations Southern California has to offer by taking Metrolink to avoid the traffic and this summer’s especially high gas prices,” Metrolink CEO Darren Kettle said.

“With our affordable ticket options, we make it easy for people to travel to the beach, the mountains, entertainment venues, and so many other wonderful places in between. Taking Metrolink is a safe, comfortable, and fun way to kick off your summer adventures.”

$15 Summer Pass

Available exclusively on the Metrolink Mobile App, the $15 Summer Pass will be offered weekdays through Friday, Sept. 2, providing unlimited rides on the date of travel throughout the Metrolink system. The $15 Summer Pass is perfect for weekday trips to the beach, a hike to a new location, or a visit to a local amusement destination or out to a new restaurant.

Passes purchased with origins or destinations for travel within Los Angeles County include free transfers to LA Metro’s subway, light rail, and bus system. The $15 Summer Pass is a pilot program. Metrolink will evaluate the fare’s success and customer response to determine whether to make the new option a part of the passenger rail’s regular fare structure. More information on the $15 Summer Pass can be found at metrolinktrains.com/summer-pass.

$10 Holiday Pass
In addition to this new weekday savings option, Metrolink is complementing its $10 Weekend Day Pass with a new $10 Holiday Pass. The $10 Holiday Pass provides unlimited rides throughout the Metrolink system on the following holiday weekends including Mondays: Independence Day and Labor Day. The $10 Holiday Pass can be purchased on the Metrolink Mobile App or at Metrolink Ticket Machines found under “special ticket options.”

Metrolink’s Rail 2 Rail® program with Amtrak, which allows Metrolink Monthly Pass holders to travel on Pacific Surfliner trains within station pairs at no additional charge, will be suspended during the $10 Holiday Pass promotion periods. More information on the $10 Holiday Pass can be found at metrolinktrains.com/holidaytickets.

As an essential part of the Southern California landscape for 30 years, Metrolink moves people throughout the six-county area to work and school, to important meetings and appointments, and to fun destinations like the beach, local landmarks and amusements. Metrolink will mark its 30-year anniversary on Oct. 26.
