The Rev. Dr. Manuel Scott Jr. will observe four decades of evangelistic ministry during his 40th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, June 24, at 7 p.m.
Hosted by the Rev. Dr. J. Benjamin Hardwick, the event will be held at Praises of Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 8222S. San Pedro St. in Los Angeles. The Rev. Dr. R.A. Williams, pastor of McCoy Memorial Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.
Scott’s ministry is filled with many “firsts” accomplishments. Those achievements include the first, full-time, national evangelist from the Black Baptist Church in more than 100 years and the first non-pastor to invited to preach by 10 presidents of national Baptist organizations. Also prior to the pandemic, he averaged nearly 100 flights a year conducting revivals in cities throughout the nation.
Inviting the public to join him for the service, Scott also announced that the Four points Sheraton Airport will offer a special rate to all attendees. To learn more about the celebration, call (626) 290-6016.
