Joyous words of accomplishment greeted the graduates of More Sure Word College of Theology and More Sure Word School of Ministry during the 2020 commencement ceremony on Jan. 17.
The uplifting event, where students received Associate, Bachelor and Master’s degrees, was held at the Four Points By Sheraton Hotel in Culver City. The theme was “Defending The Faith” based on I Peter 3:15, Matthew 28:19-20 and 2 Timothy 2:1-2.
In his message to the graduating class, Dr. King Dale Felton, chancellor, stressed the importance of biblical education for those in the ministry.
“The spirit of ignorance is more powerful than the weapons of war and mass destruction. Hosea 4:6 affirm, ‘my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge.’ More Sure Word College of Theology has been launched for such a time as this, for such a purpose – to eradicate biblical illiteracy,” insisted Felton.
The college, which is accredited by the Association of Independent Colleges and Seminaries, starts its next academic year on Feb. 6, at 5601 W. Slauson Ave., Suite 186, in Culver City. In-person classes that adhere to the CDC recommendations of wearing masks and practicing social distancing are available as well as studies via conference calls.
The curriculum includes Associate and Bachelor degrees in Biblical Studies, an Associate in Drug Intervention Ministry, Master’s degrees in Theology and Christian Education, and Doctoral degree programs.
“We will train, equip and empower those who sense the divine call of God on their lives,” said Chancellor Felton. “We are committed to working with our faculty and staff to provide a spirit-filled, supernatural environment that is conducive for learning and enable scholars to stir up the gift of God that is in them.”
Felton, who is also an ordained minister, is the founder of More Sure Word School of Music, More Sure Word School of Ministry and More Sure Word School Christian Center Church. An accomplished musician, he completed training under Apostle Frederick K.C. Price before earning his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Bible Believers Christian College and Seminary in Hawthorne. Felton also received Doctoral degrees in ministry and philosophy from Next Dimension University in Rancho Cucamonga.
